Summer's Favorite Fabric: Eyelet

It is the time of year between Memorial Day & Labor Day when windows are cracked wide open, leaving sheer curtains to billow in the breeze. It is the season when the sun kisses strawberries, making them blushingly ripe.

It is the time of year when summer's light extends far beyond our otherwise predictable early bedtimes.

As summer comes, everything slows, seems lighter, & yes, breezier. With the arrival of summer comes softer, lighter, & cooler fabrics. Many opt for linen, which is beautiful. However, a personal favorite summer fabric of mine is eyelet.

To me, eyelet fabrics are timeless and so summery. The best part about the eyelet fabric is that it looks adorable when worn as clothing as well as a beautiful fabric option for table & bedroom linens.

Since we are embarking on the open window, billow curtain breeze season, let this post inspire you to incorporate more eyelet fabrics into your wardrobe as well as home decor.
