A Day in the 100 Acre Wood: Christopher Robin & Winnie the Pooh Halloween Costume
Retreating back to a time, a place where things were quite simple, the days quite long, but quite fulfilling seemed like the perfect retreat for 2020.
100 Acre Wood |
This year for Halloween, I took my costume back to one of my favorite childhood 'homes' The 100 Acre Wood as Christopher Robin & his 'silly old bear' Winnie the Pooh. You'll recall my Wizard of Oz Halloween costume last year, I like to get reminiscent when it comes to picking Halloween costume themes.
There are certain things in life that just hold a treasure chest of memories & the characters who live in The 100 Acre Wood also dwell deep inside that chest for me.
Winnie the Pooh & Christopher Robin Halloween 2020 |
It was odd when I was out taking these photos with Pooh & my tripod, I just felt this tiny sense of peace wash over me like a warm hug--probably how Pooh feels when he gets a pot of honey. In times of uncertainty, unrest, & quite frankly, in times of 2020, a warm honey hug is welcomed.
Get Christopher Robin's Look:
I kept my take on the classic look of Christopher Robin simple, a cream knit sweater with a collar top underneath, tan shorts, & yellow wellies as I recalled he wore time to time. Of course, Christopher's best friend, Pooh & his red balloon made an appearance for this Halloween look.
“What should happen if you forget about me?” asked Pooh. “Silly old bear, I won’t ever forget about you,” said Christopher Robin. {A.A. Milne Winnie the Pooh}
