Healthy Spring Lifestyle Routine Tips

Just as the sun's rays begin to stretch longer into our days as the crocus & sunny daffodils creep from the thawing earth, we are ready to shed our dry winter skin & slip into something more suited for the season of re-birth ahead. In other words, it's Spring! The First Day of Spring was Monday March 20th & while it may not feel entirely like spring yet {or in short spurts} just know she's coming.

I like many find myself in a winter rut or maybe just a winter routine that needs to be jazzed up. As a new season of new beauty blossoms, a new spring lifestyle routine seems fitting. Below, I want to share with you a few ways I ease out of my dry {stale} winter routine & spring into a new one!

Tips to Rejuvenating Your Spring Routine

  • SPF & Self-Tanner: As the sun grows stringer, I make sure my daily facial moisturizer with SPF is within expiration date or if I need to purchase more. I also start my gradual self-tanner {I like Jergens' Natural Glow} on my arms & legs for a little color as I shed my long pants & Hanes sweatshirts.
  • A Fresh Space: I welcome springtime with a clean home. I update my bedding & decor with seasonally appropriate decor & bedding. I also wash my walls, clean windows, heavy dust, & get the outside space ready for spring.
  • Healthy Breakfast: Switching up my breakfast {or any meal} is kind-of a big deal for me as I stick with eating the same thing every day. Yep. I love a powerful protein smoothie. I love blending a Muscle Milk Protein Shake {yum, chocolate} with ice, frozen fruit, & chia seeds for a breakfast that taste like ice cream.
  • Outdoor Running Routine: To me, every season, fitness is a big part of doing good & feeling good. As the weather breaks, runs are a great way to get steps in as well as a little sun on my face. Remember your SPF!
  • Dog Mom Duties: Whether it os curating an outdoor space to sit with my two dogs in the evenings or taking Riley out in his dog stroller, letting the boys enjoy the fresh spring air is a priority of mine come the new season as well as adjusting them into a warmer-weather lifestyle routine.
Here's to a bountiful season of exciting change & of course, finding beauty wherever you go.
