Where I Buy Winter Coats for My Dogs
Winter in the Northeast can be unpredictable. For the few latter years, it has been a mild winter. Other years, bone-chilling with bursts of heavy snow--you just never really know. Of course, I am favorable for the milder winters & so are my dogs, Riley & Finley.

To them, a mild winter means afternoon {dog} stroller walks {a post later to come}. However, no matter the winter weather, the boys have to wear their winter dog coats. It can be hard to find coats that are warm, but functional for your dogs. Of course, there is Target & Petsmart, but that can be hit or miss & {sometimes} lacking in pet style creativity.
In this post, I want to share a few places I shop for my dogs' winter clothes & coats. This way, your furry kids can be warm for the winter while they go-go!

A controversial online shopping website, Shein. Hear me out. Shein's pet department {bedding, beds, travel,& clothing} is my favorite. I don't shop for Shein's clothing for myself, but it is my go-to pet destination, especially for my dogs' clothes.
Shein's pet clothing is affordable & so {so} cute. Finley loves the light blue puffer I bought in 2023. I get so many cute winter clothes for the boys that are also functional & warm.

The teddy coat Riley is wearing in the photos is from Five Below & it's over 5 years old. I get a lot of the boys' coats from here. Five Below's dog clothes are affordable & cute. Plus, they have held up well--Riley loves this coat.
For a long time, Etsy was my go-to pet clothing destination. However, this is the most expensive of the two & sometimes, I have had issues in the past with the seller not shipping my order, which is why found the other alternatives.
However, there are awesome small pet businesses on Etsy that sell warm winter dog clothes & it is worth checking out.

I like this Etsy shop for warm dog fleece shirts. The Etsy shop, Little Dog Toggs is really cute too & has warm winter coats for smaller dog breeds.
Should Your Dog Wear a Coat in The Winter?
Yes, your dog should wear a coat outdoors in the winter. Dogs with short hair or smaller breeds can be affected by the cold just as humans. In severe winter weather conditions, all dogs need to be kept in a warm shelter or indoors.
