Five Things to Love About May {& Chocolate Dipped Spring Pretzels}

Ah, May. Exhale the winter & early spring blues, & inhale the budding peonies & greening trees. Hey, it's finally May...Here are some of my favorite things about the month of May.

  1. Peonies: By mid-May, the peonies are blossoming. I know when this happens, there is a small window to enjoy the blooms. Sure enough, a bad rainstorm will squander the blooms.
  2. Spring Portraits: Each spring, I take advantage of the flowering earth, to update my professional headshots. I also love to use this month to take pictures with my dogs, which we later use for Christmas cards.
  3. Summer Playlists: May is the season when we're in between the spring fling & cusp of summer. I have a summer playlist I am always adding to that I listen to when editing photos.
  4. Pool Opens: As Memorial Day rolls in, the lock that guards the metal gate surrounding the swimming pool I belong to comes off.
  5. Birthday: It would be downright rude of me not to mention, May is my Birthday Month. Boom.

Chocolate Pretzel Rods Recipe
Spring Chocolate Dipped Pretzels

These chocolate-dipped spring pretzels are simple enough. I bought a pack of pretzel rods from Dollar Tree. One back of Nestle Tollhouse milk chocolate covered all of the pretzels rods. Before the chocolate hardens, I sprinkled spring-colored sprinkles so these springtime treats would be extra festive.

Happy May!
