Easy Chocolate Dipped Ice Cream Cones

Easy Chocolate Dipped Ice Cream Cones

Summer is much like ice cream, savor it, enjoy it, as it melts quickly.

Any way you scream, summer screams for ice cream. As we prep for all of summer's adventures, fun, & outdoor parties, ice cream is always there to treat us. If you are looking for a very easy way to spiff up your summer ice cream & or a fun way to add a little extra dazzle to your dessert table, chocolate & sprinkle dipped cones are the answer!

Who can make this? Um, anyone can! If you can melt chocolate in your microwave & dip ice cream cones into a bowl of colorful sprinkles, you can definitely make this easy dessert.

Since I relate summer & patriotic hues together, I figured red, white, & blue dipped cones would be really festive.

However, I think bright pinks & tangy oranges would be another great color combo for summertime too.

Summer ice cream ideas

Ingredients to Make Chocolate Sprinkle Dipped Cones:

  • Melting chocolate wafers or chocolate morsels
  • Ice cream sugar cones
  • Sprinkles
  • Parchment paper & cookie sheet
These cones set the foundation for great Fourth of July party ideas

Before heating chocolate, line cookie sheet with parchment paper & have sprinkles ready to dip in a separate bowl.

Follow the heating directions on the bag of the chocolate bag in order to melt your chocolate chips. I heated mine in a medium-size glass bowl & stirred the melting chocolate between microwave heating intervals.
Once the chocolate is a smooth melted consistency, you'll have to act quickly. Dip ice cream cone {head down} in the chocolate bowl & then roll into sprinkle mixture.

Set cones {head down} on lined cookie sheet. They'll set pretty quickly in a cool-temperature regulated area.

& That's it! Feel free to get creative when displaying your chocolate-dipped cones for guests to take & enjoy with their summer ice cream.
