Happy Birth Date! Date-Banana-Banana Almond Milk Smoothie 


Birthdays...they come once a year & often, we put high expectations on that one meaningful date.

More often or not, I find that putting a lot of expectations on one particular day of the year leads to shortcomings as well as disappointment. What if, instead of putting all this effort into wanting the day anniversary of the date we were born so special, we instead put that same energy into making that new year of our newly turned age special?

After all, it's not the money, the gifts, or the bells & whistles we remember at days end when we close our eyes, but the gathered memories.

However, there is one date, in particular, that is special...





This May marks a milestone birthday for me...can you guess my age? Aside from the month of May, I absolutely love organic dates! Date, get-it?

My love for dates, coffee, bananas, & a healthy lifestyle all lead to this post...a banana date smoothie.

I made this filling smoothie the other day, & boy was it good. A few ingredients made this smoothie blog post worthy as I used Almond Breeze Banana Almond Milk as well as a Joolie Organic California Date & a dash of their Organic Date Syrup. Healthy Smoothie Recipe 


Date-Banana Almond Milk Smoothie Ingredients 


1. 1-2 Organic chopped organic Joolie California Date

2. Splash of Joolie Organic Date Syrup

3. 1 1/2 Frozen Banana

4. 1/4 Cup Banana Almond Breeze Milk

5. Shot of espresso or leftover morning coffee...mine was about 1/3 cup

6. 2-3 Ice Cubes

To make, make sure your dates are pitted & sliced/chopped a bit to blend smoother. Combine ingredients & blend till smooth. Pour into a mason jar, serve with a festive paper straw.
