Margaritas for Memorial Day!

Margaritas for Memorial Day!

"If life gives you limes, make margaritas."--Jimmy Buffet.

The month of May is a month brimming with beautiful potential & possibilities. There are so many good things blooming, happening, & things to look forward to such as summertime, trips, ice cream, & nights well spent on the front porch.

Hopefully, at least one of your summertime nights has a margarita {virgin or alcoholic} in its itinerary.

{Note, this post references/contains alcohol. Must be of legal age to drink & please drink responsibly}

If you're like me, you don't drink that often, but when you do, you like something that isn't full of added sugars. Instead, you opt for something that is naturally sweetened, pretty to the eye, & low on the calories.

In this post, I have collaborated with Tres Agaves Tequila & their organic margarita mixtures to bring you a strawberry margarita recipe--just in time for Memorial Day!

The recipe, provided by Tres Agaves is a little bit on the fancy side, however, they have a simpler strawberry margarita recipe on the side of their Organic Strawberry Mix that uses only the mixture, tequila, & fresh lime!

The Tres Agaves Tequila is a bit legendary--from Tequila, Jalisco Mexico & is 100% de agave tequila.

Possibly the best part {what makes this margarita healthy} is their USDA certified organic mixes.  In the Tres Agaves mixtures, you won't sip on artificial flavors/colors {no high-fructose corn-syrup} but only fresh ingredients--yes, the mixes are also gluten-free.

Okay, let's get to the good stuff--here is how to make  Strawberry Margaritas  also known as:

"Tres Strawberrita"

& Not photographed, but Tres Agaves has also provided a refreshing Ginger Con Heilo Margarita Recipe

Ginger Con Hielo Margarita

Tres Agaves Margarita Mix {to fill ice cube tray}

2 parts Tres Agaves Reposado Tequila

¼ parts Triple Sec

Candied Ginger

For the ice cube, mix together Triple Sec and Margarita Mix. Pour into king ice-cube tray and place piece of candied ginger in liquid. Freeze overnight. For preparing the cocktail, pour two parts of Reposado tequila over large ice cube in a rocks glass. Garnish with lime twist.
