Kamp Katelyn: Summer Accessory Trend Preview 

Hi-ya, scouts! Welcome to Kamp Katelyn where there's an emphasis on creativity, playfulness, & summer activities like friendship bracelet making as well as anklet crafting.

I joke, but seriously, many of the summer 2019 fashion accessory trends remind me a bit of camp {okay, maybe the retro camp Kennedy summer days on the East  Coast & a hint of Lindsay Lohan's Parent Trap}

In this post, I want to preview three of my top summer accessory trend must-haves. In my opinion, each pick is a bit of a throw-back & I am not mad about it. All except for the first, are things I used to love to wear/collect growing up.

Summer Accessories Are:

• Lucite/Acrylic Accessories 
• Shell Accessories 
• Crochet/ Knit Accessories 

Lucite/Acrylic 

When decorating any space that I am living in, I almost always have some type of lucite piece of furniture mixed into my decor--I feel that lucite room pieces really add a 'luxe' element to any space. The same can be said for acrylic accessories.

Shell Accessories 

Remember wearing Puka-Shells as a kid on vacation? Me! Me too! Shells & my longtime goal to meet an IRL mermaid has been going on strong since the early 90s'. Places such as Free People & 

H&M has the cutest shell accessories. I am feeling the shell anklets as well as the necklaces. So mermaid-chic. 

Turquoise is also on my radar! 

Crochet & Knit Wear

I used to kind-of hate crochet as I figured it was 'old-lady' but today with knitting being cool among millennials as brands such as Free People & Urban Outfitters embracing crochet accessories/garments I am into it!

Aside from this Missoni dress & tiny crochet bag, I have a crochet sunhat from the San Diego Hat company that I will be wearing all summer long!
