Simple & Clean Guacamole Recipe

Simple & Clean Guacamole Recipe

April is winding down & one of my most favorite months, the month of May is coming! So many good days await! Cinco de Mayo is one of them!

If you are like me, you love avocados & guacamole! However, I dislike foods with a lot of salt & seasoning--which is one reason why I am not too fond of the Mexican food in my area as I feel like it's over seasoned.

Naturally, I came up with my own simple-natural ingredients recipe for my own guacamole--I call it 'Simply Guac.'

I also prefer to make my own healthy 'chips.' Essentially, I toast thin pita bread &/or fava bread that's only 47 calories per wrap....I'll share my how-to-below.

With Cinco de Mayo around the corner, & summertime not too far behind, I want to share my Simply Guacamole recipe with you!

Homemade Guacamole Recipe

You'll Need: Guacamole

  • 1-2 Ripe Avocados {1 feeds just 3 but 2 is better}
  • Fresh Lemon
  • Himalayan Pink Salt
  • Ground Black Pepper
  • Lime {fresh or in lime juice, if in a pinch}
  • Hot Pepper Flakes {optional}

Guacamole: How-To

  • Half avocados with sharp knife {I use a paring knife}
  • Carefully remove pit{s} with the knife blade
  • Hollow out avocado halves with spoon & scoop into mixing bowl
  • Gently mash avocados about half way
  • Add a pinch {or two} of Himalayan Sea Salt
  • Squeeze half of a freshly sliced lemon
  • A squirt of lime juice
  • A dash of black pepper
  • Mix & mash the rest of the avocado until smooth {I like a bit of chunk, the texture is up to your liking}
  • Serve on top of warmly baked pita chips--ENJOY! šŸ’š

Baked Chips: How-To

  • 3-4 thin pita wraps {I buy these
  • Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees
  • Lay ea. wrap on a sprayed baking sheet
  • Spritz ea. wrap with spray butter
  • Sprinkle Himalayan Sea Salt on ea. wrap
  • Using scissors, quarter ea. wrap before baking
  • Bake 3-4 mins or to gently toasted {watch as they darken quickly}

Happy Cinco de Mayo! olĆØ!

  2. I have to make this!!! I am exactly like you with seasoning - I often avoid going out to eat overall because I don't like all the stuff they add to the food. I hope you're having a great week so far!
