Holiday Shimmer Style |
Pretend right now is Christmas Eve. Close your eyes. What do you see?
Are your thoughts immediately transported to a warm living room with a crackling fire, illuminated Christmas tree & window panes etched with snow on the exterior?
Or has your holiday daydream taken you to a quaint small town's center? Where the town theater's marquee is light up reading, Now Showing: A Christmas Carol.
Just maybe you have transcended your imagination to the Sugar Plum Fairy's castle where the Mice King has been defeated & little gumdrops & snowflakes are flocking in the courtyard?
No matter what you picture Christmas eve to look like, we all have our own variations. Some are more magical than others. Some are more dream-like or down-to-earth than others.
Regardless of your holiday fantasies, this time of year, it's easy to dress whimsical as well as magical. Typically, silvers & golds are the go-to sparkles. While tartans & plaid are the go-to holiday prints.
This year, to keep it festive, but unique, I went with purples, reds, & a bit of gold to create my 2021 Holiday Look. In a September Vogue online article, the post shared that shimmer is an upcoming trend that we can all adapt to our daily ready-to-wear lives as the pandemic has made us eager to dress up once again.

What better time to add some razzle-dazzle holiday shimmer to your wardrobe?
Below, I have curated my own Holiday Style Lookbook. Keeping with my aspiration for ambiguous style, my dress is past-season H & M, shoes past season Old Navy, & Earrings past season Lisi Lerch. However, my lipstick is Becca Pearl Glow Lip Tunt, Blackberry.
